The starter motor is right in front of you slightly left of centre. There is one moulded cable cover that seems to be in your way but ignore it = you can work round it. There are 2 wires on 2 connectors on the solenoid part. Then all you have to remove is the 3 bolts to the right (2 are 8mm hex + 1 is 15mm spanner).

Robbob55 Discussion starter. 7 posts · Joined 2018. #11 · May 18, 2018 (Edited) I think my non-starting problem may be a faulty relay in the engine fusebox, the engine cranks, the fuel pump primes and runs, but there's no spark at the plugs and I suspect that there's no fuel coming through the injectors as with a plug out there is no smell

It starts when its had a long run (60m+) and gets very loud. I took it to a garage 6 months and they took it for a thrash and left it ticking over for 2 hours then returned the car saying
