if the controller is recognised by an emulator like Joy-to-Key or something then you might/should be able to set up toggles. but you would have to press the active toggle again to deactivate it before pressing a new toggle/gear change. (but that also means changing the shifter inputs from xinput to keyboard inputs..)

With the paddles you can use Sequential shifting, so one of them is for gear-up and the other for gear-down, but you don't need the clutch for this.

make sure the shifter is plugged in and everything is set up and ready to go before you start the game, plugging things after the game is already started sometimes doesn't work properly. works great and is easy to setup and use - my only real issue is that when used on the logitech shifter the screws that fasten it against the metal shifter do not line up 100% on the flat side of the stick - this means it can twist a bit when using but certainly not a show stopper nor a nuisance - would still buy again

Homemade H-Shifter setup, any ideas welcome! I've decided that I'm tired of settling for the plain "automatic" or "sequential" shifting methods in ETS2. Yep, it's time to go with an H-Shifting setup. Heck, I'm no stranger to the concept, I've spent quite a few hours behind the wheel of our grain truck. Trouble is, I don't have a G25 or G27 wheel.
