Anywho, I have driven both (mine and my buddy's) highly modified 135i and 335i. The main difference in the driving is the "nimble"ness of the 1. It feels smaller and because of the smaller wheelbase and dynamics it seems a bitch twitchy. I like the 335i because it has roughly the same speed but is more comfortable, versatile and less twitchy.

The main difference between these axles, and axles from the next step up (like E46 330 or 135i), is the outer axle stub. On these models BMW was pretty lame and used a smaller spline.
